Local Giving

A COMPLIMENTARY LISTING from us.

Not for profit organisations run by volunteers’ sit at the heart of our communities. They provide an incredibly important function and we feel passionate about promoting their services.

A dedicated space will be reserved to promote these unsung pillars at the heart of our town. There will be no cost to feature in either of our print or digital platforms, we know and understand the increasing struggle these organisations face and hope we can help drive new members through raising awareness within the communities they support.

yllbb - Charity Stripey Stork

Our local baby bank based in Reigate has been helping vulnerable families since 2013 across Surrey and sometimes beyond. They collect new and pre-loved items for babies and children (equipment, clothes, furniture and toys) and distribute them, via a network of support services, to families in need. They believe that every child deserves the same start in life and support this notion by sharing items families have outgrown. There are lots of ways to get involved, from donating items (see monthly wish list on their website), to fundraising and volunteering.

Renewed Hope – A local charity for the homeless, isolated and vulnerable in East Surrey. Since 2013 we've offered practical solutions and emotional support through our year-round daily Drop-In, Real Meal every Sunday, and the Winter Night Shelter between December and March. Alongside the provision of meals, foodbank vouchers and clothing, we provide direct support to our clients responding to their specific needs regardless of how complex their situation.

We assist in finding housing and employment, and we work closely with statutory organisations and partnership agencies to improve the quality of life for our guests. In March 2020 we set up a foodbank delivery service, working with our local council. This enables us to provide for our existing beneficiaries and the wider community. This is all made possible with the help of our dedicated and willing volunteers.
